Wine tasting, wine tours

It is well known that viticulture was flourishing even in the Bronze Age in this region. However ancient Greeks have eveloped a more intensive wine culture in the 5th century BC. The islands of Vis, Hvar and Korčula belong to the earliest winemaking areas in the Adriatic Basin. Eastern grape types of the Roman Empire were spread into the Basin of the Mediterranean Sea later. The most authentic white types of the Dalmatian area are Pošip and Vugava. The most popular red types are Babic and especially Plavac mali.

Upon request we are ready to fix an appointment for you with local winemakers of the most important cellars on Korčula and on Pelješac peninsula, so that you will gain an unforgettable insight into Dalmatian wine culture.
